The International Museum of Surgical Science (IMSS) will be hosting a FREE virtual lecture series this fall featuring conversations with women in STEM! This program is made possible in part by a #GenderEquityGrant from @ScienceCenters and @IfThenSheCan, which promotes equity in STEM, including equitable gender representation.

Ever wondered what happens to the brain when someone has Alzheimer’s? Acclaimed Neuroscientist Dr. Joyonna Gamble-George has been invited to give a lecture as part of IMSS’s virtual lecture series. She will be illuminating the secrets of the brain in an hour-long Zoom presentation and Q&A. This virtual presentation will take place on Thursday, September 17th at 6 pm CDT. You must RSVP on Eventbrite to receive the link to the lecture. Visit imss.org and click Programs to RSVP.

Dr. Gamble-George

I love to empower people to become thought leaders and STEAM/STEMM innovators. I served as an expert science advisor for scientists that study chronic heart and lung diseases, HIV, and mental health. I also co-founded a biotech IoT application and device development company. As a scientist, I conduct research related to brain diseases and disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease, anxiety and stress-related disorders, and substance use disorders.
