Dr. Gamble-George has been featured on page 54 in èBella Magazine, a Southwest Florida magazine that gives a voice to dynamic women, connects the community to the power of women supporting women, and collaborates with featured ‘heroes’ to make a memorable impact on its readers and the communities in which its readers live. In the digital October issue of èBella Magazine, she talks about the IF/THEN Initiative (pages 52-55), in which she is an ambassador for, and the importance of the IF/THEN exhibit, where women professionals in STEM will be immortalized as statues to combat stereotypes and gender bias by highlighting women as science experts. IF/THEN was founded on the belief that “IF we support a woman in STEM, THEN she can change the world.” It is a transformational initiative created and funded by Dallas-based Lyda Hill Philanthropies. Dedicated to closing the gender gap in STEM careers and inspiring the next generation of women innovators and pioneers, IF/THEN aims to activate a culture shift among young girls by providing them with women STEM role models.
