#STEM Career Expo for Young Women and Nonbinary Students

Dr. Gamble-George has been invited to speak at Inspiration & Exploration: STEM Career Expo that will be held on March 12, 2022, at 3 PM ET. She will discuss how she persisted through challenges and what she does on a day-to-day basis as a scientist. She will also share advice, encouragement and ideas for how to get on — and stay on — the STEM pathway. The event is designed for young women and non-binary students in high school, but all teens interested in STEM inclusivity are welcome. The virtual online event is a collaboration between The Tech Interactive and the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media. The Tech Interactive is a family-friendly science and technology center in the heart of downtown San Jose, California, and a world leader in the creation of immersive STEAM education resources to develop the next generation of problem-solvers locally, nationally and globally. Founded in 2004 by Academy Award Winning Actor Geena Davis, the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media is the only global research-based organization working collaboratively within the entertainment industry to create gender balance, foster inclusion and reduce negative stereotyping in family entertainment media.
