In the Nation’s Health, Dr. Gamble-George discussed the purpose and benefits of the “Speed Mentoring” program at the American Public Health Association (APHA) 136th Annual Meeting and Exposition in San Diego, California.  The APHA-Student Assembly Mentoring Committee, which Dr. Gamble-George served on as Co-Chair, hosted the first “Speed Mentoring” event that aimed to offer a short interactive experience where current students and recent graduates of public health degree and related programs could interact with and learn from experienced public health professionals during a speed session format. APHA’s Student Assembly, the nation’s largest student-led organization dedicated to furthering the development of the next generation of professionals in public health and health-related disciplines, now hosts the “Speed Mentoring” event as an annual interactive expereince.
